180 Leagues is a full-bodied and warming barleywine with deep complexity, aged in Madeira barrels. The aging adds rich and nuanced aromas of raisins, prunes, nuts and fig, balanced by caramel, honey and warm spice notes. The Madeira oak barrels also add an elegant touch of oxidative sweetness and a hint of chocolate on the finish.
