Avec

Avec, or café avec (le petit verre) is French and means "coffee with the little glass". Usually you think of whisky, brandy, port or liqueur as an accompaniment to coffee, but why not choose a low-alcohol alternative such as beer?

For example, try an (imperial) stout with your coffee. Or why not a brown ale with your cake? Or simply a tasty non-alcoholic beer with tea and biscuits.
